Did you know that there is a FreeDOS (http://www.freedos.org) project and you can get MS compatible DOS for free under GNU public licence?

Maybe it isn't perfect but it's a start.

Well, I know this might be better suited for Aps & Operating Systems forum but I want the greatest number of people to know in the shortest possible time.

I should probably buy a computer before I buy an operating system for it.

Hey C, I got a DR-DOS 7.03 bootdisk from bootdisk.com - I'm running rogue and stuff off it - it's a nice OS (multitasking)

Mentioning that, where can I get a copy of CP/M? I have always wanted to actually use it, but have never been able to obtain a copy of it. I know I will have to reconstruct an old 8086 or 8088 system to even intall it, but that shoudn't be much of a problem.
