What do u type in the DOS prompt to format the c: drive. I just used FDISK to create 2 partitions on my HD, one is set to active the other is not. It's a 15GB HD with 10GB active partition. I think I only need to FORMAT the active one for now, until I need to use the other, tell me if I'm wrong.
Again I need the line of code to format a HD
thanks

I always format all the partitions at the same time http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif.

And after that do format d:
It's really kinda silly NOT to format both drives. Any reason for that?

This depends upon the OS you are gonna install(IMO). If it's Win98/95 on a HD previously used for Win2000 or NT, E-Me and I'll give ya the info on the easy way.. DrVette
