I have used all the above. I was just wondering which was the favorite of all who are here?
I like the 98 look and feel, but think that 95 is not as delicate. Tell me what you think.

I really liked 95... it was a great update from Win3.1! And it had great Dos compatibility too!

But I think I prefer Win98se!
Maybe because I have been using it too long! And I can assure you that I will stay with it ALAP (as long as possible)

I agree with voogru. But I like Win 98se better than 95 or ME. ME is just too dang big. 95 is nice for computers with small hard drives.

I like windows 98se because of the feel and 99% of the software out there supports it. I love windows 2000 pro because its solid and it runs faster for some reason on my machine(and it looks cool).(I benchmarked it!)

W95C
I've tried '98, '98SE, M.E.
Keep going back to this one. Original '98 wasn't worth the time it took to load, SE seems OK, but not as stable as 95C. I'll admit I haven't really given M.E. a fair shot yet.
I use removeable HD enclosures, so have each OS on seperate drives that are never in at the same time. Each was a "clean" install.
This '95 setup is so stable that the last installation was done in January of 1999, and has survived everything I've thrown at it including a MB swap! When a HD failed, I was able to get it going long enough to clone it and the OS was still OK after a major hardware crash!! Overclocked a CPU to the failure point, blue screens galore, & '95's still doing fine...
Basically seems bulletproof. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif http://www.sysopt.com/forum/biggrin.gif

I am for win95B (OSR2) With the IE4 Ser.pack 2 upgrade it does everything 98 does (except for the pop-up windows following the mouse around which I find very annoying)with out any problems
