Got one here that is driving me nuts. For the last two days I've been getting these error numbers when outlook tries to send and receive my mail. 0x800ccce or 0800ccc19 My system isn't that great hot by some standards but I manage to get the job done. Celeron 300 @ 450
256 meg Ram
Windows 2000 Pro
Office 2000

Also when I open outlook for the last 2-3 days it also opens word 2000. Nothing but a blank blue screen that says word 2000 at the top. It all has me stumped, any ideas?

well i'll say that lots of times with my cable serice my mail server goes down and you get error messages but not like you have. have you run any updated virus scans?
maybe thought of reinstalling office 2000??
just a few ideas.

ps. also, in outlook you can try the "detect and repair" option somewhere in the help or tools section.

Just grabbed minute to see if there where any other ideas. Ireally don't want to have to reinstall Office. My antivirus is up to date too. One says unable to connect. The other says timed out.

check your info settings like account name,
mail server name, passwords, etc.
make sure these are all correct before you go further. you can find it under tools, accounts, properties and so on.

Thanks setings being corrupted / changed was among the first things I checked. It seems to be behaving better and narrowing itself down to when I send email. Especially if I have several emails in the outbox?
