I am looking for a program to burn my complete system to CD's to use as a backup.
So that when the inevitable happens I can restore the whole system in one shot!!
I am using Nero 5.5 which wants to back up the entire partition and use 46 CD's to do so.
I don't think so!!!
I used to have an HP 9110I burner that used HP Simple backup which worked the nuts.
But the program needs a HP burner and I now have a TDK 12x10x32

Thanx

Hey,

For backing up certain Directories you can use Quicksync, made by Iomega, which you can use your cd-rws to backup.

The good:
1)You can set the date/time when you want to backup

2) I use it, and have it set to check my hard-drive for changes every 15minutes and i love it!

The Bad:
- For cd-rws, the max size is like 500megs

Here's the website
http://www.iomega.com/iom_software/quiksync3.html

Hi
try to use Norton ghost to make an image in hi compretion
then you can restor it at ani time with bootable disket and ghost on it.
if you have a huge disk to back up it will be spread on a few cd's or you can use an old HD (10G is cheep)
good luck

Problem solved

Gave up on that idea, Bought another hard drive the same size as the one I already have.
I put master on ide 3 on Highpoint controller
and the new drive on ide 4, When I want I just backup to the new drive..

Thanx for all your suggestions!!!
