well, I'm not sure if I understood the problem correctly, but a friend of mine had similar IE pop-up error windows coming up until the computer was out of ressources, time for him to reboot.
It turned out to be a virus, since he had no AV program running. He made a scan with a trial version of Norton AV and it found it, but couldn't "fix-it". He needed to delete the file, but at the very end he really needed to reinstall Windows 98se.
All that said, make sure you have an updated version of an AV software, and run a full file scan.

hi thanks for your reply.......yes it hot up here, but i have extra case fans installed and a temp monitor ,it has not gone over 35C so it's not overheating as far as i can tell.. http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif
Suggestion: Hit Ctrl+Alt+Del. Look for a program called mdm.exe. Stands for Machine Debug Manager (or something like that). IF it's running, end task it. See if the errors persist once you do that. Had a lot of IE and Explorer errors with that thing running. End-tasking it, deleting the file itself, and removing all traces of it in the registry finally stopped the errors for good. Good luck.

Well, there's no doubt this "winoldap" thing is creating problems to you...
Here are a few links you can read, although I don't know to what extent they can solve your problem...

I'll look around a bit more and post back any new findings, but from what I get is that this thing is used in Win95 and was a program that was written for DOS/Win 3.11 tasks. Now why it still runs on your Win98se platform I don't know...
