You can't, but you can leave your modem installed and use it only for faxing.

Or you can sign up with one of the Online faxing services. (most have a free trial period) I have tried a few different one's over the last little while and they work just fine. But I do to much faxing so I just bought a stand-alone fax machine for home

You need access to a telephone line to fax.

Online fax services are better than a fax modem. Try onebox.com.

I don't want to argue with the editor-in-chief, BUT online services are NOT better, that's a matter of personal opinion.

I've been using efax for incoming faxes by e-mail, it works great and incoming is free, just sign up. http://www.efax.com

That was IMO, not a blanket statement http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif. It depends on what you're used to, too.

Like mntsnow said there are some online fax services. Some will e-mail a fax to you.
