By accident I enable IE to open the file directly, so IE download it in a Temp directory.

How can I go back to choose the location I want to download it to? I can find anything in the advance tab in IE option. Pleasse help!

Thx in advance

Do you just want to change the folder you download to?

Cheers!

When you choose to open it directly rather than saving it to disk, IE or any other updates for that matter, use the Temp directory to store programs, files, etc. while the program installs. When it's finished, the installed program should be somewhere like \Program Files\Internet Explorer. It should also remove all of the files from the temporary directory. If not, then delete them manually after insuring that the program has installed itself correctly in the Program Files\Internet Explorer directory.

What I mean is that IE will start downloading the file directly in the temp directory, it will not ask me if I would like to save to a diffrent folder. I check a box by accident and now I can't go back http://www.sysopt.com/forum/frown.gif

Thx anyway guys

This sounds like a simple one but for the life of me, I can't remember how to change this.
So you put the check in Don't ask me again. Have you tried the I.E. Repair Tool ? Maybe it will reset the checkmark.

Cheers!
