I sell products on line and advertise via email. How do I create a graphically driven email msg? What program is used so that all recipients get the msg? (using Flash embedded .gif image is sometimes stripped out of msg and AOL users have to download the file.

How do I create a graphical email that everyone can read i.e. lockergnome.com's weekly email newsletter? I currently use netscape as a browser.

Thank you,

Margie Larioza

The email program of the person receiving the message has to be able to display graphics. Since text-only programs exist, there is no way to guarantee that they will see it. Your best bet is probably to include a link to a website with the graphics.

BTW - somebody is sure to bring it up, so I might as well. Nobody likes spam! Make sure people you email it to agreed to it beforehand. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

If you where to send me a graphic ad in my email it would be deleted and chances are future mail would be too.

I'm one of those people who don't like Ads in email let alone ads that slow it down.

Yeah not a lot of poeple enjoy ads with pics in it. I get a lot of those but i just delete them because if i wanted to buy something I would go and look for it. If this is something you have to do i would go with placing a link to the website in the email.

Thanks for responding - I appreciate your time, however, your opinions about what I'm doing seem to be the focus of my sending out an email advertisement. I am using an opt-in mailing list only. These people have requested updates. I thought something graphical and colorful versus plain text would be nice to look at and read.

The "how to" question still remains unanswered.

Margie.
