Ok, my cd-rw drive was never hot before, it gets hot now when I use it, even in read mode, since I got my new motherboard. When it gets hot like that, it stops reading the cds! Whats up?

I guess the new MB(+CPU? ) you have runs hotter than your previous one. Install couple of additional case funs in order to decrease case temperature. Install one in-take and one exhaust to increase air-flow through the case. Good luck. geekgrl 06-27-2000, 06:33 PM Yeah, I agree with EvilDragon. Get yourself an additional fan(s). SysOpt.com
