Font Sizes in Outlook & IE 5.5

This is kind of a simple question. I recently installed Outlook 2000 on my systme to do email so I can sync it with my Palm Pilot. I have noticed, though, that every time I go into Outlook and then onto IE 5.5, my font size settings get reset from "Smaller" to "Medium". Is there some setting in Outlook I am overlooking to prevent this?
