Hi All..
I just Dual booted my sys for win98 and then win2k (BTW, it was really great experience http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif)
My problem is that i couldn't make win2k to run UT, it downloaded normaly but after that, there was no files in the folder which i downloaded it in !! just the exe files which will not accept to run ...
Any ideas Please ..??

You d/l'd the demo version online?

I am not quite sure what you mean but if you tried to run the UT you had with Win98 then you can't and must intstall a fresh version (different directory) in Win2K.

No, i have the full retail version (4.00 and have the pach 4.36 aslo), and i fresh installed it in different new folder on the WIN2K partition.. but couldn't use it as i mentioned ...

Usually you "install", not "download".


Anyway, besides word usage, I got Unreal Tournament to install fine on my W2K.

Two ideas:

Try reinstalling it off the CD to the same directory that you installed it in under Win98. That way the registry will be correct for both OSes.

Be sure to install it under your administrator account. By default, if the account you are logged in as doesn't have either "power user" or "administrator" permissions, you will not be able to install anything. It's a built-in security policy (which I'm pretty sure can be changed).
