Anyone use this yet?

Curious because I do, but have no temp probe for processor, so no way to see actual temp differences.

I know Win2K uses hlt commands to keep processor cooler, so I'd like to know how much cooling this actually provides.

Thanks,

I use "CPUIdle Pro V.1.0 for Win2k" which is the previous version from V.5.8 and it decreases about 5C (Sheesh that's a big jump from 1.0 in version numbers! LOL). while it idles... And yes, Win2k does have its own HLT command, but CPUIdle seems to bring it down further...

Cool, thanks NDC I was juts curious. Funny, in my own reconing I would think running the hlt command was just that, but I guess CPUIdle has something else going on.

Thanks for the reply,
