Wiz 06-26-2000, 09:42 AM I think its a law that it must be written on the power supply. someone correct me if i'm wrong catcow 06-26-2000, 11:42 AM There is normally a label on the PSU with the voltage and power raiting information. It's normally the same label that has the name of the PSU and some safty info on it too. tonym 06-26-2000, 03:44 PM The PSU MUST HAVE AN IDENTIFYING LABEL AFFIXED!! The PSU can't be imported and then sold to YOU without a safety agency approval! There has to be a label that has the UL, CSA, CE and TUV compliance information. This label also must identify the manufacturer and at a minimum contain the mfg.'s P/N and a brief title of the product, as well as it's revision level. If it's unmarked, it's probably an el-cheapo and illegal "knock-off" import from China. An unmarked supply might be the best in the world, or it might be a shock/fire hazard waiting to happen. And BTW, the information for the PSU will most likely come with your case, not the mobo. Most but not all cases come with an integrated PSU. My advice...spend $30-40 and get a new supply that has the label and the ratings right on it. I don't want to EVER have to say I told you so!!! Mntsnow 06-26-2000, 08:28 PM Sorry the sticker is the only way to tell...Or of course you could dismantle the psu and get the info from the parts themselves but you will have to take the psu out of the case to do that and when you do you will probably find the sticker first SysOpt.com
