I am in the market for a new mbo. I am stuck with the processor type. My question comes from the fact that my old mbo is AT form factor, and the new board I want is ATX. Can I fit it in my case?

The AT power supply has 2 6-pin cables, the ATX power supply has 1 20-pin cable. If I were you I would get a new case. You can pick one up almost anywhere with a 300 watt power supply for about $50 bucks. Good luck. tonym 06-26-2000, 06:53 PM aewithro2, Aside from the power supply, you'll have a heck of a time jury-rigging the case to accommodate the ATX-style I/O connector locations. Listen to bell1. Get yourself a new case and throw away any future headaches!!! Tony Roy 06-26-2000, 07:06 PM Piece of cake! Body & Fender shops do that kind of work all the time! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/wink.gif If you have "Computer Shows" in your area, they're great for buying cases. Around here, a decent mid-tower ATX w/PS goes for about $30. Admission and gasoline are worth the opportunity to check out a few choices instead of taking a chance with mail-order or just buying the one model a store might offer. Good Luck. Inferior 06-26-2000, 07:23 PM NO. I'd advise you to go down to your favorits local computer store and buy a nice generic one. Try to get a case that has two side panels that come off, rather than the one peice cases that I hate so much..... SysOpt.com
