I'll start out with my system specs:
PIII 700E @ 933MHz
Asus CUSL2-C Motherboard
128MB Mushkin High Performance Rev2 PC133
Geforce 2 Ultra
Primary HD: 30GB IBM Deskstar 75GXP
Secondary HD: 75GB IBM Deskstar 75GXP
Both HDs are on seperate channels, on a dual channel Promise Ultra100 controller card.
Now, for my problem. Any program that has compressed or combined files, example: 3dmark, I get CRC & unreadable data errors when the source location is my secondary HD. This only happens on my secondary HD. My primary HD works like a charm, no problems at all. Since both HDs are installed on the same controller, I don't understand why the HD would work under Win98 but not Win2k. Anyone have a solution?
