NDC 03-11-2001, 03:35 AM Oh, yeah, a great improvement over 4, it has many new features. However.... http://www.sysopt.com/forum/Forum9/HTML/003449.html codybear 03-11-2001, 06:30 AM personally I tried it in 98 and like 4.03 better....only my .02 worth pcdad 03-11-2001, 10:20 AM I'm currently running it on a 98SE/2K system and love it. Many new features and no problems (yet)..... rugbymn 05-29-2001, 08:46 PM I cannot get ez cd creator 5 to work with win 98 2e. It installs fine but when I exicute the program it gives me an error that closes the program. Has anyone else had this problem? sparkdb 06-01-2001, 02:54 PM Check out the following from 'The Register' it would appear that many users are having serious problems with the latest versions of Easy CD Creator http://www.theregister.co.uk/content/4/19254.html Also check out the related stories at the bottom of the page. Microsoft themself have already posted a warning about the latest 5.0 version !Slow Boot or Error Messages in Windows 2000 After Installing Roxio Easy CD Creator 5.0! http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q298/5/83.ASP It would seem like good idea not to upgrade until the issues are resolved Hope this helps By-tor & the Snow Dog 06-01-2001, 08:03 PM Only thing I can say is it doesn't like my win 2000 install. Now I use NTI cd 2000 pro. Maybe it was just my box though, as I upgraded from 98se i nstead of a clean install, which we may just do later this evening. BT Jim9999 06-01-2001, 10:44 PM I'm using it on 2000 Server and XP. Works like a charm for me. By-tor & the Snow Dog 06-02-2001, 12:35 AM Well, I just went through a "clean" install, so we'll give it another shot. I'll get back with you. By-Tor Mntsnow 06-02-2001, 05:50 AM I too am having great luck with 5.0. I have it running perfectly on win2k, and almost perfectly on XP (occasional hang in exiting from a cd to cd copy or when doing a MP3 to CDA cd creation) but thats on a Beta OS. Of course it's working very smoothly on my win98 system. Heck I even have TakeTwo installed on the 2k system as I had it loaded that way prior to the warning about that. I have updated to 5.01 and running smooth. Good luck with the clean install SysOpt.com
