Ok guys I know you can help me with this one!

I got an old computer from my dad that he wants me to upgrade. Here is what I know about it so far:

Old packard bell desktop. MOBO is LPX form factor. I don't know what the PRocessor is though!!

It is about 1.5" x 1.5" square, zif chip. If i remember corectly it is a pentium 90? maybe I don't know.

The back of the chip is copper and says the following:

8519502fcc
A4
GR 31

(in black ink) and hen stamped into the copper is

i66

the heatsink says:

a80486dx2-66s
I don't think it's a 486 though... the case has Intel inside on the outside.

what i wold like to do is just stick in a new processor. Would a celeron fit this board? I don't know anything about the board. All I know is that it is a LPX form factor stock mobo from a packard bell "multimedia".

If i had to upgrade the mobo would I have to use a lpx form factor?

I want to get this sucker to run a celeron. let me know please!

First of all the CPU in that computer is an Intel 486 DX2 66. That motherboard is very old and is not upgradable to a Celeron. You're going to have to buy a new motherboard, case, and memory if you want to upgrade to a Celeron.
