HI to all,

Recently I run into a big problem. When I reatert or shutdown my Win2k (with SP1 patch) machine, I can only see a black screen with a blinking white curor on the top left hand corner and this screen ust stays forever and I am getting no where. So I have no choice but to power off my machine every single day. So this is very annoying.

Please advise and many thanks in advance.

I have noticed the same thing on my win2k machines, and it is really pissing me off.

I had the same problem when I upgraded our machines to Win2K. But after I did the Windows Update (there are at least two security updates since SP1) It quit.
Also check what type of APM your BIOS is set to. It could be that Windows is trying one thing and the hardware another.
