Don't forget .co.uk and /uk.net (useful if you want a UK site cos you can enter +domain:uk in the search criteria - actually it probably only useful if you life in the UK!!)
I suppose the new ones like .ws and .cc are being used as the common ones are used up or taken by squatters.

btw have you seen the longest domain name yet - This village is near where my parents live in Wales http://llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysilio gogogoch.com/ Who is ever going to remember that - even the locals call it Llanfairpwll ?

What is your opinion of this. How many endings are there going to be (.com, .net, .org, .edu, .gov, etc, and now .ws). The site for this is:

I recently got a letter , offering me a (my domain).cc for $100, two years, I asked about it on the forum some where, cant find it now, the answer I got is that there are many dot somethings all over the world, and this one .cc was some outfit in the coco island.

It takes a whole load of practice believe me. Welsh is my first language and I still find it hard to pronounce "ll" which is a letter in our Welsh alphabet. You have to roll your tounge and press it against the roof of your mouth and then you make a funny hissing-type noise.

Darn, when I got my domain name, had to shorten it, they told me I could only have 22 letters.,

I really hope they decide to implement a .xxx or .por for adult sites. Having them all under one umbrella would make it a heck of a lot easier for parents to block access to these sites. If you make it a crime to operate an adult site under a different suffix, make it a heck of a penalty. Plus, the good sites would be easier to find. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
