Win98se Splash Screen removal...

Will someone share with me how to go about disabling Windoze splash screen?

Go into your root directory and then edit the "msdos.sys" file. Scroll down until you see "Logo=1" change that to "Logo=0", save, exit and there ya go!

Gentlemen:

msdos.sys cannot be found on my version of Win98se. Why? Je ne sais pas! A true mystery. Any ideas?

i believe that the newest tweak ui has the ability to disable the start up screen

Just add in the "logo" line and that will allow you to control that

Thanks, fellow comp-gurus! I added the Logo=0 line "et voila," no splash screen. Well done, and another caper solved by the Sys-Opt-Sleuths!

Click on start->find and search out msdos.sys

Right click on it and go to properties. Uncheck read only, hidden and system if its there and click ok. Then right click and open to edit.
