I copied a file on a cd burner and when it said do I want to make it so it can't be writen over I clicked yes. So now it is a read only cd, can I still install the file, or only look at it so to speak?

S.D.Willie 04-24-2001, 06:12 AM its just a file? and not an application??? either way if you burned it on to a cd it WILL be read only. you can copy read only files off a cd wherever you like.(or install applications) just copy and paste at will. also, when you put the file onto your hard drive,floppy, zip disk, etc., you can always change the attribute by going to the properties. hope this helps.
