I've heard of a lot of Athlon fans and coolers (golden orbs), but I also read the sysopt article about the athlon and it said it couldnt be overclocked without soldering and stuff like that.

Can I over clock my Athlon without soldering? And if so, should I?

Golden fingers device, cheap, simple, easy, and very effective... http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

if you are good, do it. It's a device you solder. It's called Goldfinger. There are others too, but i forgot what they are called.

Sweetcakes! sounds good, but i probably wont do it. Soldering doesnt sound as reversible as switching a few jumpers...

If your motherboard supports it, you can also overclock it by increasing the FSB setting -if you're not confident of your soldering skills. Though this will only get you so far! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
