The defaults when notepad opens

Is there a way to set the default “Normal window” size for notepad - when opening? (not the run max. or min.)

When i open notepad, it covers the majority of my desktop and i always have to resize it.

Also, to be able to set and save default printer settings for notepad would be nice too.

Is there an .ini file with these settings in it? I looked and didn’t find one.

Hmmm, that's strange.... Notepad saves the last size that you used before closing the application..

As for the printer issue, I'm assuming that you have more than 1 printer on your system which is causing you to select a different printer to print from each time you want to print something from Notepad. If that's the case, go into Control Panel\Printers and select the printer you want to make as default and right click on it and you will be able to set it as the default printer.

Not the case for me on my system at work, WinNT, or system at home, Win98se, both behave as mentioned above.

I recall with Win3x you could hold shift or alt (I forget) and close the app like say file manager and it would hold the setting.

And, I was talking about setting defaults for margins and such (header/footer) in notepad, not what printer is default.
