A few months ago I regretfully configured my system to dual boot using choice of Win98se and W2K. I want to GET RID OF W2K. Unfortunately, when I choose to boot to Win98se, I am unable to make a good boot disk.
(1) Does anyone know why?
(2) Assuming I am able to make a "StartUp" disk from Win98se, if I boot with it, shouldn't the CDROM be a valid drive?
(3) I looked in the archives, found that rt clicking on A drive and formatting, then copying system files [including CDROM files] will make a boot disk. Were I to boot with such a disk, should not D {CDROM} be a valid drive specification? Or does the D drive specification become valid only after I've fdisked my HD, and xcopied the boot commands onto the HD?
I have done this (dumped / restored) my HD many times, but I'm just not remembering how I did it!
Thanks a lot!
