When I signed up for an account with my current ISP, Inverse IP Insight was installed on my computer. It's really annoying, so I uninstalled it and now I get the following error message when I boot up my machine,

"Cannot find the file 'C:\Program' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available."

I cannot find any reference to the C:\Program in system.ini or win.ini. I tried writing to the support email address on the website, but I got an automated reply saying that the message couldn't be delivered.

Anyone have any ideas?

System spec:

Win NT 4.0 sp6

Many thanks

Deob

Go to Start, Run, and type in regedt32. Go to the window for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, and open up Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. In the Run key, there is probably something referencing C:\Program Files\etc.\etc. Double-click the key name to edit it and add a semicolon at the beginning of the line. Then reboot and see if it fixes the problem. If so (and if you are sure you don't need whatever it was trying to run), go back into Regedit and delete the key that had the semicolon in the beginning of it.
