I've finally gotten off my @%& and decided to give Linux a try after fifteen years of being bent over the armchair by Microsoft. After reading a few reviews about the different distributions, I chose Corel Linux rev. 1.2 due to it's good review and since I know and trust the name through experience in MS applications. I was planning to dual boot it with W2K using BootMagic 6. I downloaded the ISO, burt the baby, and attempted to install. On boot and after about 3-5 minutes of detection, the computer faded smoothly to black, kicked the cd out and rebooted. It was apparently supposed to continue with an install procedure, which would make sense as I am installing it and all http://www.sysopt.com/forum/smile.gif It then went right back to the BootMagic screen. After reading through Corel's documentation, it turns out that my Radeon is not yet supported. I don't really care to nix my brand new Radeon but would love to get Linux online. Is there any form of workaround for this problem to save wear and tear on my keyboard from my forehead slamming repeatedly into it in frustration?

The radeon is only supported in XFree86 4.0.2+. As Corel linux does not support text installation (corel linux 1, dunno about the 1.2)you should get another distribution of linux.
I've once managed to install corel with an unsupported graphic card by recreating the corel CD installation with an updated x-windows, but its' far too much work. Just get an other distribution.
My humble oppinion about corel linux(v1.0): suxss..., I've formatted my HD after running it for 20 min...
