These dual-scan displays are brighter and clearer than single-scan LCD screens. However, they are still not as bright as active-matrix displays. TFT Thin Film Transitor Often called "active matrix" display, this is the brightest, most viewable kind of LCD flat-panel display. It is also more expensive than "passive matrix" screens.
