Hi,

I was wondering if there is a way to automatically provide the product key for a Win2K unattended setup.

what unatended.txt setting would do the job?

TIA

I didn't find an exact answer, but found some good reading:

There is also a method to install with out being prompted for the key....Hoever I have never tried it so do so at your own risk....

Just explore the CD and open the folder I386 and find the file SETUPP.INI and copy it to your hard drive. then open the properties of the file and unclick read-only then enter OK. then open the file and on the third line you should see a 8 number long code labled as Pid= and you replace that code with this one:

51873270

then save and exit. go back to file properties and put read-only back on. then you re-burn the CD with this SETUPP replacing the old one in the I386 folder. Now it won't ask you for a serial when you install. Good Luck

Thanks alot, just what I needed.

I forgot to mention that the install will be across a LAN, we are rolling out Win2K at work soon.
