How do you guys rate the Hauppage USB TV "card"??
I would have looked in the user reviews section, but there isn't a section for TV cards etc.
I have been looking around for one, and this is the only USB I have seen. I need USB or another external (serial/parallel) as I have no more slots free.
Cheers,
Lee.

I have one and the picture is great...when it works. It is in RMA right now and Hauppauge should be sending me a new one if it has not already been sent. Good tech support. The software crashe often on my system. Overall, the pic is good though so I am happy with it especially since it is USB. The thing just quit responding totally and that is why I RMA'ed it.

I used to work at a store where we sold them and other than my experience with it dying (I really like it other than that) people were very pleased with it.

A friend of mine has one. IT's good in the fact the resources are not a problem like using an add in PCI tv card usually, but it also has no stereo audio signal...major downside for me.
PS: He got it by price matching between CompUSA and Office Depot with a differential, made the cost only $35 total...

I have one, and with the newer drivers it works much better than it used to. However, the USB bus does not seem to be able to keep up with the frame rate, and the screen will "freeze" every once in a while. Overall, I give it a B+. My advice would be to get the PCI card if you have the slot available.
