Hello,
I currently am getting ping times of about 210-270 at best (56k). I (think I) have narrowed the problem down to my ISP. I am stuck in a contract my parents signed to get a $400 rebate at the purchase of this computer, so I cannot switch ISP's to try some others. So I decided to try a freeISP as a secondary number for playing games. I have also heard that they are usually not the creme' de la creme when it comes to efficiency and ping. So now I am looking for one that IS. Has anyone used one that doesn't slack off on their connections and can give good ping times? Also, if you have any other recommendations, let me know. (Before you say this: I have already tried the speed up your connection progs, and they have helped by even bringing me too this level. It used to be worse! http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif ) I would really appreciate your feedback.
