Please Help-Remembering passwords

My mom's computer seems to have a problem. When she goes to www.hotmail.com (http://www.hotmail.com) it automatically goes into her account. Today someone wanted to check their hotmail account on her computer and every time they go into hotmail it goes into her account. Now is there any way to stop this??? it's that internet explorer is remembering her password right?

Yep. Your mom told IE to remember her password. Which is a big no no on shared systems! Go into the IE config menu and clear out the saved passwords. Unfortunately there is no way to just delete single passwords it will delete all her saved IE passwords.

it's -> tools, internet options, Content and then Autocomplete and from there click on clear forms and clear passwords.

Sorry, I can't solve your problem, but you are right in the fact that it is IE that did this. When she first typed in her password to Hotmail with IE 5.0, there should have been a window that popped up and asked if she wanted it to remember the password or not.

There was an easier way...
You could have just clicked at the top of the screen on passport sign out. Then it would have taken you back to the login screen.

True rtyp3 but all the while the "visitor" has access to someone else email and would continue to have it anytime they clicked on refresh since the passwords were memorized. On ANY machine that might even remotely be used by someone else I would highly recommend that you never have it remember your information.
