I have this pc in my office that has two user profile. I installed office 2000 using one profile a and it works fine. But if I log in using profile b, office 2000 won't work! I can see the icon but just won't start....anyone can help me? Thanks.

Yup. And if you do a "repair my shortcuts" for profile b, then they will no longer work for profile a. Even if your profiles are set to share the same desktop, or share all the settings.

I'm sorry that I'm unable to give you an answer, but I am real curious about this as well. I had a second profile set up at home for my Wife, and found it easier just to share the same profile.

I had to install it again (over itself of course) in the other profile then it worked in the 2 profiles on my machine here. I would expect that from seperate partitions, but profiles on the same os? This happened on WinME, I couldnt be bothered reinstalling again on my 98Se system just to check out if the problem was the OS or the office s/ware. (or maybe some security setting that is a default on ME profiles). With each Win & Office upgrade I'm paying more and understanding less.
