From where I reside, networks use GSM 900 and GSM 1800 or both. I was just wondering if this is true in the US. I'm asking because i'm planning to purchase it there.

thanks.

It appears that Gsm 900 and 1800 are reserved for Europe, Asia and Australia, where GSM 1900 is to be used primarily in North America and Latin America

Perhaps contacting the manufacturer of the brand you intend on buying could give you more info. on what is available and where.

tnx chainsaw. thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't really sure. So that's why when i asked my dad to buy me a 3210 in the states he couldn't find one. instead he found another model of 32XX series. oh well, i changed my mind, i would rather buy locally.

thanks again.
