If its the same network, then you shouldnt need a pass key, but if the sim card is for a different network, eg Orange, then it could be blocked as the different mobile companies dont want you doing this. RobUK 06-18-2000, 03:36 AM I want to be able to use different networks sim cards on my one2one phone, but it asks for an un-lock number, does anyone know what it is? dexmax 06-18-2000, 06:56 AM scene 1 Some GSM networks lock their phones. YOu need their access code to be able to use another SIM from other companies. scene 2 Some phones have protection, it can detect if a new sim card is inserted. it is your option when you first bought your phone to lock it with your sim card. the moment you insert another one, from the same network or not, it asks for your phone lock key. It's just like your PIN on your SIM except that its stored in the phone. LJJones 06-18-2000, 10:43 AM I was on the one2one website, (www.one2one.co.uk) and you can buy an unlock key off them that "allows you to use your handset on another compatible network". This phone lock is only on one2one, as I can use my mums Orange sim card in my dads BTcellnet handset. SysOpt.com
