I have a problem (again). I need ms outlook for an exam on mon & tues, so it's kinda important I get this thing goin soon. I had ms office 2k. My exam is on office 97, and it's open terminal. I removed office 2k. Installed office 97. Outlook is giving me an error - Unable to open default mail folders. An unexpected error has occurred. MAPI is unable to load the information service PSTPRX.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured. - I'm looking for my instructer but he is out of town. Can anyone help me with this? I already re-installed 97. Getting same error. I have outlook express installed and it is my default email program. I'm assuming it has nothing to do with it because outlook on office 2k had no problems. Thanks for any help.
ps. It is not a bootleg copy of office 97. I got it from the server at school.

I tried searching for PSTPRX.DLL but its not on my machine anywhere. Any clue to where I have to go to get this dll file and what to do once I get it? Thanks.

Thanks Mtsnow. I found this before your post and it worked:
To restore a corrupted pstprx.dll you will have to rebuild user profiles in Outlook 97.
To add a User Profile to your system, follow these steps:
Double-click the Mail (or Mail and Fax) icon in Control Panel.
Click the "Show Profiles" button.
In the Mail and Fax dialog box, click Add.
Follow the prompts of the Inbox Setup Wizard.
To add an Information Service to a user profile, follow these steps:
On the Tools menu, click Services, and in the Services dialog box, click Add.
In the Available Information Services box, select the information service you want to add, and click OK.
Follow the prompts for adding specific information for the Information Service that you just selected.
If the information service you need is not in the list, you may need to install it through the Microsoft Office 97 Setup program.
Thanks anyway!
Peace,
