You will either need to hardrives or to partion your one drive into two parts one has the primary dos partion for win98/ME the other would be the win2k format.. I would say to use partion magic. I'm dual booting 98 and linux right now I used the program that came up during the linux install. Sorry I cant be more help.

you will need to install 98/me first, then 2000, as 2000 will install a boot loader giving you a choice which os to start
*note* it is not absolutely required to have seperate partitions, but it works much better. A good partitioning program would be partition magic.

I don't have dual boot myself , have seen this type of question
often & researched same . Read all the links & see if they help .

NTFS for Windows 98 -- Win9x & WinNT4

If you dual boot Win9x and WinNT4 listen up. NTFS for Windows 98
is a NTFS file system driver for Windows 95 and Windows 98.
Once installed, any NTFS drives present on your system will be
fully accessible as native Windows 98 volumes. Now that's what
I call a useful utility , from , http://www.pcnineoneone.com/pokpok/system.html

I've just finished taking Windows 2000 Professional and from what I understand if you dual boot you have to use FAT32 if you want to be able to access files under either Operating system. For example, if you are in Windows 2000 Prof. & you want to be able to work with a Windows 98 se file then you would have to have used FAT32 not NTFS.

I haven't yet heard of NTFS for Windows 98 or 95 but it's sure something I'm going to do research on.

good luck

I just set up my system with Boot Magic and am running 95 98 and 2000.

I would suggest a look at the Power Quest web site to see if you can get it as a stand alone. I got my copy with Partition Magic and works great!!

I would suggest that you install 98 then install 2000(as they will dual boot) then use Boot Magic to install ME. Be sure to make the boot disk!!!As this is needed to get the system to boot correctly!! I had to disable the 98 boot in boot magic as 2000 had it's own loader for 98-2000 so It only shows 95 and 2000 in the Boot Magic menu then in the 2000 menu I can goto 98 or 2000.

Search sysopt for "Boot Magic" And you should get a few more questions answered.
