AOL INSTANT MESSANGER TRICKS?

Hello,
I have a question regarding aol instant messanger. Everyone knows that you can put %%n and that stuff in your away message and have it display your name, or date or time, but I found a new trick, i just don't know how to do it. I saw someone put an away message that said "click here" and when i did, it made a new aol message directed to this guy that said something funny in it. how did he do that? also, i just tried his message tonight and when i clicked on his little hyperlink, it moved his buddyname into the category "MyDreamlover." how did he do that? i have too much pride to ask, and i know if i do ask him he won't tell me anyway, so i was wondering if any of you might know the tricks, or if you can direct me to a web page that does. Its not a good idea to click on links sent thru AOL IM. Quite a few viruses have been sent that way in the past. But that was not your question.
AOL offers, as downloads, numerous "tweaks"???? for the use in their IM such as power-tools.
Why be ashamed to ask how it is done?
