recently downloaded a small program called idcide from idcide.com, basically it tells you when you visit a site who is putting cookies on you that you know nothing about and tracking your movements on the web. i note that i get two from this site :- www.focalink.com (http://www.focalink.com) and www.netanalyzer.net, (http://www.netanalyzer.net,) who are working with earthweb.com who i think now own sysopt. the point i make is that a lot of sites you may visit are in fact loading cookies on your system without your knowledge, which could lead to people learning certain things about you you may not want them to know. im not suggesting that sysopt are doing this as the info is obviously going to earthweb? you may decide that you dont like the idea of being tracked or am i being paranoid. maybe socalgal could put me right in this one

I just disable all cookies except for the sites I put in my trusted folder.

Sysopt is one of maybe 4 that I let put cookies in my computer.

you can set your comp. not to accept cookies, this will limit you in geting to some sites. I just dump them about once a week. some of the features of the cookies here are a help to us, such as telling us when we checked in last, and posts to our topics, correct me if Im wrong. simple cookies are the least of my worries.
