I am running W2K SP1 (with all the updates % IE 5.5sp1) and have a MS Intellieye USB mouse connected.

The weird thing is that every so often (maybe 5-10min) the computer says its detecting a new USB device and exctra.

Has anyone had this experience? Any solutions to my problem?

thnxs!

Well, I'm currently looking around at microsoft, but a question first:

When it starts detecting, does the mouse work? Or does it work just before? Or what?

Also, any other info about your computer would be helpful.

THANKS!

My mouse? Yes it does work. I like having it plugged into my usb. I never seen this before. But I just experienced it. There is nothing (beside this) that is different then you normal setup.

You know, computer + ram + W2K + USB mouse = USB going crazy.

Its very strange. Is my USB trying to find something that isn't there OR did I drop too much water in my mouse and short circuted it?

Well, there really isn't much help at Microsoft (big surprise!), but I did find one thing that might be helpful, as well as found out some info that might be helpful.

I found the current driver for it here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/intellimouseopti/install/3.2/win98me/en-us/eng.exe

and I also found out that the Intellieye doesn't like ASUS mobos, so if you have one, you have to go to the ASUS website (http://www.asus.com/) and download a new driver (http://www.asus.com/products/software1.html) for your USB controller (your mobo, actually) and see if that works.

I hope this helps!
