Heyal,

I have a question here regarding Win98se and the Windows Explorer.

I get the error Visual C++ RunTime in Windows Explorer {sometimes without the "Visual"} application terminates [something like that].
Click OK and everything is gone as far as icons, taskbar everything.

Now this last time when pressing the Ctrl+Alt+Del to end task or shut down/restart, IE windows were still active and pressing the Alt+Tab I was able to pull window pages up then used the "OPEN" from the file menu to start the "Explorer.exe" again.

It doesn't have a piticular task to show error it just pops up once in a while. I have all the updates, windows, ie., so I can't figure out why it happens or how to correct it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
SB

This is the closest I could get -- Micro$$ must be guarding their updates:
