I have a NT4/2000 network and already have Backup Exec 8.5 using a DDS3 tape backup drive. (right now I am only backing up about 14 gigs of data).

Anyways, now I need to backup at least 80 gigs natively of data everyday. We went to digital media and bought a new server with a total of 45 gigs of space. Which now needs to be backed up on tape.

I was looking at the Mammoth-2 tape drive but is there anything better for the price range of this drive? Or as I've been reading is the Mammoth tape drive the best?

Sixpac,

The mammoth-2 drives are nice for the money. The Tapes are a bit expensive. (unless you buy a grundle of them they actually run more than DLT IV tapes).

Also double check on the longevity of the tapes if your looking to reuse the tapes in a constant rotation.
