For my new computer, I have the option of getting the hard drive with an ATA 66 Controller Card or without. What is this? Should I do it or not?

Warthog,

Probably means that the mobo doesn't support ATA66 in hardware or BIOS. I'd get it as most of the newer HDDs support ATA66 and if you're upgrade minded, then you'll eventually have to go for the controller!

Don't buy the computer, it is using a cheap motherboard! Build your own for less!
