Well, how do you do it? For some reason, the Win2000 computer can see and read from the Win98 shared directories, but the Win98 computer can only see the Win200 computer, not read it's shared directories. We tried to set up permissions for the Win2000 computer to allow access to the Win98 computer, but we can't even see the Win98 computer from win2000. The only way to see the Win98 computer from Win2000 is to map one of Win98's directories. What are we doing wrong? Is there some setting we don't know about?

You can see an NTFS partition on a Win2k Comp from a Win98 Comp on the network
I bet the problems has something to do with permissions
I dont recall what exactly what it is, but its been discussed here before. Try searching Sysopt's forums for Win2k and sharing.
(1) make sure that the following protocals are loaded on Win98 and Win2K:
NetBEUI, NWLink IPX/SPX/Netbios, and TCP/IP
(2) Also try logging in as Administrator on Win98 and then try accessing the Win2k computer from your Win98 machine.
Tell me how it goes. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
