My goodness.... http://www.cnn.com/2000/TECH/computing/06/13/mail.manners.idg/index.html

Although, some of them are kinda good. I wish more of my friends and family would listen to #6.

Really good, I can only add, "Ask before you foward 7 million "cute" things you find." I have a couple of friends who obviously can't type so they stay in touch by fowarding all kinds of garbage that I have no interest in at all. When I asked them to stop this, one dropped off the earths face and the other ignored it and continued to send four to a dozen junks per day... grrrr DrVette http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

One that should have been included:

Clean stuff up before you "forward" it. How often have you received a forwarded bit of "wisdom" or a joke that has simply been forwarded from several hundred prior recipients, so you end up receiving hundreds of email addresses, etc., that you have absolutely NO interest in, and a message that has no format whatsoever? The text is spread all over the page helter-skelter. I have a hard and fast rule of my own: Press Del key before attempting to read it. I propose a Commandment whereby before a person forwards anything, they should copy the relevant portion, paste it onto a new email page, format the text into a state of legibility, then send it along if they must.
