I'm trying to print from Word2000 to a Ricoh Aficio 270.
This document is a two page letter, which has been mail merged (hence around 150 2-page letters in a continuous document)
...and about five variants to run totally around 1000 letters http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/frown.gif
Page 1 must be printed onto letterhead paper from tray#1, page 2 must be printed onto signed paper on tray#2.
It is important that the two pages match up, as they both contain personalised merge fields for the addressee.
The other way is to print two batches and assemble them by hand, but I want to do it automatically. (the Ricoh does side-binding, multiple trays etc)
So essentially, I want to print odd and even pages from alternate trays consecutively.
So far, I've tried:
inserting a slip sheet (using page 2) but this is prone to jamming and won't recover as it thinks it is blank paper
page setup by sections - when you mail merge, each 2-page letter is considered one section. Unfortunately, Word numbers them (1-150) for each letter, likewise if I set pages seperately as sections before the merge, it ends up as 300. So after the merge sections 1-300 show the alternating tray for even/odd pages, but it still sucks it all from tray 1.
Any cunning ideas? I'm pulling my hair out and I don't want to sit putting 1000 letters together by hand.....
