One of the best places to start is right there on your computer.
Go to the help menu and do a search for hot keys or shortcut .
That should give you all the available keys for your machine .
And the other place to look is in your menus
almost every choice in a menu has a shortcut key.
eg: your explorer has shortcuts for the File Edit Veiw etc . Just look for the letter in
each word that is underlined and that is the shortcut keystroke .note though that some need the control or alt key to be pressed as well.
eg: alt+f will open your file menu,then pressing n will open a new browser or page.
Hope this helps.
Another couple of windows defaults are:
ctrl + z = undo last action , works in most win type apps
ctrl + c = copy
ctrl + v = paste
ctrl + x = cut
