I was just wondering whether I could 'make the Web come alive' with my P3 processor ('come alive' with a 56k modem.... Errrrr...no).
I signed up to this Web Outfitter stuff and started to get prompts about downloading software, etc. I really don't want to waste time downloading megs of stuff with my cr@ppy dial up connection if it's no good!
Has anyone used the service? Is it worth bothering with???
TIA,
Krusty.

I tried it awhile ago....
Dont bother...it does nothing worthwhile. Just a bunch of junk really. I mean, what can a p3 do to a website that another processer does nt have the ability to do? They hyped the web outfitter to be a reason to buy a p3 and it really has no value. But thats just my opinion http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
I tried that Krusty. Got a cd rom in the mail, mega programs to install off of it, but I didn't use too many so I removed it. You may like it, it's gotta be worth a try?

Yeah i've tried it. Nothing special. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Just a lot of fancy software with fancy menus, buttons, and animation. I really didn't think much of it. It's really not worth it.

I've ordered the CD and I may get round to installing some stuff if I ger really bored, but I don't reckon I'll bother to D/L anything, it it's nothing special.

I tried to get in with what my BIOS calls a PIII (actually a Cel 2 566) and it wouldn't let me in. I should have checked it out for the short while I had my PIII 500 Kat but never thought of it... Glad to hear I wasn't missing a whole lot. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif
