At the small (6 employees!) company I work for we are thinking of assuming responsibility for our own firewall. My boss is upset because our firewall is currently down and it's taking too long for the computer techs that normally service us to get here.

Like me, my boss is a computer geek...but also like me, he doesn't know everything. However, he is confident that our combined abilities should be able to handle our computer needs.

So, what I'm getting at is:

Where would be a good place to learn ALL about firewalls, hardware & software?

Here are some links I hope you find useful.

Firewall Products: http://www.techadvice.com/help/Products/F/firewall.htm

Search: www.earthweb.com/ (http://www.earthweb.com/)

NetworkIce also has corporate/small biz/B2B software solutions: www.networkice.com (http://www.networkice.com)

This is a pretty good place to look at. It has several firewalls to look at. It also tells you how to set up protocols such as TCP/IP, NetBEUI, and IPX/SPX. It's a good and informative site that is worth the look. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif Good luck with your problem. http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif

Hope this helps.
