Opinions on Win ME

Well what do you think, is it faster , more stable. I am going to try it on Monday and just wondered what you all think to it?

I put it on my laptop and my work machine and so far I really like it http://sysopt.earthweb.com/forum/smile.gif..Sysopt has a review on it that was very well done and professional and that is what made my mind up for me...I did the upgrade on both and tonight I will clean install on another machine to see if I see a difference..I say go for it..I think you will like it

hi there i would go for it to i have it on two sys one the upgrade the other is full install
codybear dont bother with it as you will see nothing differnt between the two

Is it faster? Maybe bussiness type applications run faster but for reugular old games it's about the same. I would recomend a minimum of 64 megs of ram though. Extremely stable.

Don't believe it's for sale yet. Not sure when it will be available for retail, I use WinME Release Candidate 1 as one of 3 OS's on my machine at home. (working on 4 lol) I got it from our MSDN (Microsoft Developers Network) subscription. Not sure how else you can get it (legally).

I got a copy of Windows ME OEM Version from www.directron.com (http://www.directron.com) for $106.00 And its shipping now too.

You could just wait for the upgrade which we'll be $50 for people with windows 98. The official release date is sept 14...

If your starting fresh. WinME is a good purchase. If your updating, its not worth the time/energy/money.

Aren't they supposed to make you buy some type of hardware like a mobo when you buy an MS OEM OS?
